Basic Climate Guide for garlic planting stock.
Softnecks do well in mild climates and Hardnecks do well in cold climates. We do not recommend hardneck garlic for warm climates. If you live in a warm winter climate and really want a hardneck, the Chesnok Red is a good choice.
Note to all gardeners: All Hood River Garlic is grown at Hood River Garlic, in Hood River, Oregon. All garlic planting seed stock originates from US soil.
