How and When We Deliver - All current orders will be shipped beginning in August. Orders are shipped in order the payment is received. Shipping begins mid to late August. If you are a northern customer, please place your order before June 1st to ensure early delivery.

Payment method: All online orders are processed through PayPal. All major credit cards are accepted through PayPal, as well as PayPal accounts and checks online. Hood River Garlic does not see your financial information. PayPal is a safe and secure site.

Please note, due to the increasingly huge popularity of growing garlic, we can not supply all of the garlic seed demand to all of our wonderful customers. Therefore beginning in August 2011, we purchased from our friends in Washington and the east side of Hood River. Our Washington friends are certified organic by the Washington State Department of Agriculture. They have been growing organic garlic since before Eric ever tilled in our first field and they have been certified organic since April 2002. And our east side garlic grower is Oregon Tilth Certiied Orgaic. You will continue to get the same excellent quality garlic that you have received from us at Hood River Garlic.

Three ways to pay; you can use your PayPal account, pay by credit card or by personal check. If you wish to pay with a credit card, just place your items in the shopping cart and continue through until you get to payment choices, choose your payment type from Visa, Master Card, American Express or Discover. Please note: PayPal is the credit card merchant so it will say,"Submit to PayPal for payment." You do not need a PayPal account, instead you may select the credit card of your choice for payment.

Sales Tax
Since we are an Oregon based business, we do not charge sales tax.

Shipping
Our shipments travel by the US Postal Service, Priority Mail or Express Mail Next Day, based on shipping selection. For a detailed list of shipping costs, please click here.

Payment
To reserve from a finite inventory, we must request payment upon receipt of orders. There are three ways to pay:

1. Email your order. We will calculate the garlic and shipping costs, and you can mail a check.
2. Select your organic garlic seed from the Shopping Cart (see below).
3. Place a phone order and send in a check or pay by credit card.

Select your organic seed garlic via the shopping cart and pay through the easy to use PayPal. Once you submit your order, the PayPal secure payment page will process your credit card. We respond with an acknowledgement of your order. Orders are filled as they are received.

We do not hold any orders until they are paid in full. All phone orders must be paid within 2 weeks. You may send a 50% deposit to hold an order, but payment is the customers responsibility. All orders without payment or deposit will be automatically canceled after 2 weeks. Bulk/preseason orders must be paid in full before July 15th to get full the discount. Due to the increasingly popularity of our garlic, any bulk orders not paid in full before August 1st, will not be discounted.

It states clearly on the home page and the ordering page when to expect delivery, if a customer orders garlic and expects immediate delivery, the requested refund will have the PayPal payment deducted from the refund amount. Thanks.

We always try to describe our organic seed garlic as accurately as possible so you will know what to expect when you receive your shipment. We want you to be satisfied with your order because we are gardeners too! Many of our customers are repeat customers; we hope you will be one as well.

Disclaimer
Because our garlic is grown organically; without the use of herbicides or pesticides, harmless nano pathogens or pests may be present. All organically grown plants will host these microscopic cells and they are of no harm to humans. All plants contain these symptoms and garlic is no exception.  We inspect our garlic thoroughly and do not intentionally sell any garlic that is tainted by any pathogens or pests. We do everything possible to ensure healthy soil: annual soil tests, adding the proper amendments, and rotating growing plots, and we meticulously inspect each bulb of garlic four to five times before it is packaged...
1st inspection is done in the field months and weeks before harvest: we inspect every plant from the time it emerges from the soil, until it is harvested. 2nd at harvest time, 3rd when hanging in the barn curing, 4th when cleaning, 5th when packaging the garlic seed.
Healthy soil yields healthy garlic. But to make a 100% guarantee would be
next to impossible. At planting time, we start all over again and carefully inspect each and every garlic clove to be planted.

We do not guarantee our garlic to be Certified Disease Free Garlic Planting Stock, or disease free. We do inspect our garlic under a keen eye and to the best of our knowledge it is superior seed stock. We do not sell any plant that we think could be contaminated, but sometimes even the keenest eye can be mistaken. Any and all liability from any circumstance is limited to a full refund of the garlic cost, excluding the shipping cost.

We take great pride in growing our organic garlic planting stock and we do not knowingly sell any garlic that may be sub-standard. We hand select all of our garlic for premium seed stock.  If for any reason you think your garlic is defective, please call or email us stating the problem and return the defective garlic within 10 days and we will replace it, or issue a refund. We do our best to ensure your garlic seed is the best garlic seed we grow, but cannot be held responsible for damage during shipping.

Refunds
All refunds must be requested within 60 days of purchase. Requested refunds will have the PayPal payment deducted from the refund amount and a $10 processing fee. If the refund is requested after 60 days, the customer may have credit for next year's garlic, or credit in the garlic gift store. There will be a $20 fee on all returned checks.
